She loved him incredibly. He did, too, but he was oblivious of the fact until they were no longer together. This is a story of a toxic relationship and a wasted soul…

He lies to her to see another girl he calls “a friend.” She doubts her love because she thinks it’s not enough. They fought over who to meet or where to go for Valentine’s; not realising their love for each other is slipping away. His anger went beyond words at times.

Hurtful words don’t heal relationships. Bitterness can’t help you think straight. So she leaves to find solace in the presence of her friends, who value her more today than her own beau. She finds attraction an escape from the toxic relationship she is in. But love is difficult to find. Who are we kidding? You spend the major part of your wakeful life with one person but their heart dwells elsewhere. Insecurity ignites because of the thought of a third wheel. She let go off the inhibitions but couldn’t let go off the hurt and pain she felt inside to share her man.

On his part, he tried his best to keep it away from her. He was used to being with her, attachment, I suppose. But he wanted more, to spice up the relationship, and so he introduced “a friend.” Little did he know, they did not need a friend, because they had each other. They were best friends to each other. Space meant life beyond their relationship but not beyond their love, until now.

She thought best to leave him happy and move on to find her happiness. However, happiness without love is not possible. All you get is rain even on a sunny day. They rid the toxicity by ending the relationship. But now he is with another, yet misses her. He was used to being someone she loved. Now he is just someone she used to know. She, on the other side of the world, is wasted in a pub of strangers, dancing away with her bleeding heart.

They loved each other, still do, but life, and unreasonable wants , ruined their relationship.

She falls on the dance floor, immobile and lifeless. He falls from his chair at the dinner table while his lifeless, eyes staring at the woman he didn’t love, but held his name.
